Sara Whetung from Canadian Frost Farm (Stoney Lake, Ontario) will be bringing her horse to Gzowski college on February 10th for youth programming as part of the symposium. 10:20am-11:50am and 2:15pm-3:30pm
During this time, youth will learn how to groom, care for and connect to a horse.
Jake Charles or Nanockashee (which means Hummingbird in Ojibway) is an Ojibway from the Chippewas of Georgina Island (located off the south point of Lake Simcoe). Participants will learn Anishinaabe Teachings and make a medicine bag. 10:20am-11:50am and 2:15pm-3:30pm
Angela Elijah, Mohawk from Akwesasne will provide teachings on the process of black ash splint preparation and basket making. Participants will learn how to prepare black ash splint and will make a book mark using the black ash splint. 10:20am-11:50am and 2:15pm-3:30pm
